St George Utah Hotels
Hi, I’d like to welcome you to our site. I hope you will love your visit here as much as I love living here. I had been coming here three to four times a year from San Diego and trying to power through all of the name brand hikes and sights like Angel’s landing but I got tired of spending so much time driving here and started living here in St George Utah. The scenery in Southern Utah is unmatched, Zion National Park is an hour away, Bryce Canyon is about 2 hours away, and the North Rim of the Grand Canyon is about 3 hours away. And soon we will start getting regional flights to St George Utah from Los Angeles. All that being said, I find I spend most of my time hiking the local trails near to St George Utah. There is hardly anyone on the trail and it’s not so touristy as the National Parks. You can really get in touch with nature and feel a part of it.
We have a few really nice hotels here in St George unfortunately we have some dogs too. There is a huge difference between St George Utah Hotels and the motels here. If you want something nice you are going to have to pay for it. The motels for the most part should only be used for showers and sleeping. Sorry but if you just drive here expecting something nice well you will spend about $100 more than at a motel which you will no doubt regret.
Below is a very nice video of one of the best St George Utah Hotels. The Hilton does have some competition from other hotels but not many. You will find the better choices will be on the outskirts of the city with only a couple of exceptions. My favorites are the La Quinta Hotel, the Wingate Hotel, The Comfort Inn, Hilton and if you want to treat yourself may I suggest The Red Mountain Resort Spa with the Green Valley Spa a close second.
Most of the motels in St George Utah are dives, as places I would never take a date and only sleep in if I really needed to take a shower. I would really recommend one of the St George Utah Hotels. The good news is that we have very little crime here so even if you choose to sleep in one of the dives it will most likely be safe. Seriously our Police Blotter is almost comical to read, DUI’s or some guy slaps someone around. Not bad when considering what the “News Papers” ignore in most cities. I’m sure the Editorial Policy is something like “We can’t be scaring the population as they might not vote for our friends in politics”.
St George Utah Hotels
We have quite a few Motels here in ST George Utah. Most are located along Bluff street and St George Blvd., and most freeway exits. I’ve seen prices as low as $25 for a Saturday night and that was just last night, the parking lots were nearly full. Obviously these people did not book their rooms in daylight. Don’t expect much for that price but if all you need is a place to clean up and sleep it’s better than car camping on BLM land or the rest stops. I don’t mean to Dis Rest Stops as we have some nice ones here. Utah would rather fatigued drivers take a nap than continue driving on our long and hypnotic roads. I napped at one just last Saturday on my way down from Provo.
From the street these motels might not look very nice especially in daylight lol but there is little to actually fear about the city of St George. The people here were raised right. This is one of the few places where a person can walk the streets along at night and feel safe. Also, our police are bored, there is little real crime here so they really work at suppressing the wannabee bad boys. So be sure to watch your speed here and do not drive with alcohol on your breath, you have been warned. St George Utah Hotels
